Structural Support and Cartilage Grafting
Asian rhinoplasty procedures require cartilage grafting to provide the structural support necessary for long-term stability and refinement.
Depending on the surgical plan, cartilage may be harvested from:
- The ear
- The rib (for more extensive structural support and augmentation)
Because cartilage grafting is always required, surgical complexity, operative time, and fees vary based on the extent of structural changes and reconstruction needed.
More extensive rhinoplasty procedures involving rib cartilage harvest and advanced structural modification may exceed standard pricing ranges.

Recovery and Healing
Most patients experience:

during the initial healing period.
While most patients feel socially presentable within approximately 2 weeks, rhinoplasty healing occurs gradually over time.
Swelling improves in phases, and refinement of the nasal tip and contours may continue for up to a year following surgery.
Final results are revealed progressively as swelling fully resolves.
Important Surgical Consideration
Dr. Jae Kim performs rhinoplasty and Asian rhinoplasty for primary (first-time) surgical procedures only.
Revision rhinoplasty procedures are not currently offered.

The consultation fee is non-refundable, but may be applied toward surgical fees if surgery is scheduled within 30 days of the initial consultation.
